Looks like an air show. The Victor made its last (a ccidental) flight at one as well:

Farnborough in the 1950s, I’d guess. It was huge at the time.

That’s Ttyymmnn bait.

The ugliest awesome airplane ever built? Also, that’s a Blackburn Beverley in the background.

A little followup to my mention of the Blackburn Beverley. Notice how the passengers are facing aft . That was a British thing. They figured it was safer that way.

I don’t think the Victor is at all ugly . Indeed I deem it the only good looking one of the three V-bombers. That Beverley is a different story though.

Aesthetically, I’m more of a Vickers Valiant fan.

Heh, I think that’s my least favorite... Oh well, the world would be boring if we all had the same opinions.

I do think that what is alluring about the Victor is that it resembles what the future looked like in the 1950s. It’s got a definite Buck Rogers sort of vibe to it.

The Victor was a curious looking aircraft
But for me, the best looking was the Vulcan.
Oh and the sound as it flies head, it's just awesome.

The Vulcan seems to be the one most people like most. I like it from the intakes back, a more graceful cockpit/nose and it would be a really sweet looking plane.

We’ ve still got XJ823 at my local airport. It was cannibalised for XH558, that did a flypast over the airport as a thank you on it’s final tour.
It’s just so majestic in flight.
